Internal sharing of customer data between Motley Denim companies

Motley Denim shares customer data between its various companies as listed above. This is because different companies within Motley Denim handle different tasks in the business. By completing an order at checkout in our online store, the customer agrees to the handling of the customer's personal data described below. It is not possible to complete an order through our check-out without consent to the handling of the customer's personal data described below, as it is then not possible for Motley Denim to deliver an order to the customer. 

Collection of customer data

Motley Denim gains access to the personal data the customer states at checkout (name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and in some cases social security numbers), purchase, payment and order history, IP address and how the customer has used our web shop and which pages visited.

Motley Denim also collects visitor data when a user visits our site such as for example web browser, device and IP address. Motley Denim also uses cookies to make our website and web shop work for a visitor. 

Use of collected data 

We use collected personal data in order to fulfill our obligations to deliver the customer's order to the address the customer stated in our check-out, to pay for the order and for marketing purposes. By completing an order via the checkout in our online store, the customer agrees to the described handling of the customer's personal data. It is not possible to complete an order through our check-out without agreeing to this described handling of the customer's personal data as it is then not possible for Motley Denim to deliver an order to the customer.

We use collected visitor data for statistics and marketing purposes.

Sharing of data to third parties

In order to run our business, pay for orders and deliver orders, we must share customer data with third parties and subcontractors to Motley Denim. We never sell customer data to third parties and only share customer data with us for the relevant purpose of our business. When customer data is shared with a third party, the customer's data is protected by that party's data protection policy.

Adyen, Paysera and Maksekeskus are PSPs and operates most of our payment options. Customer data is shared with one of them when making a payment.

Klarna Bank AB is a payment provider for invoice payment and customer data is shared with Klarna if payment method Klarna Invoice is selected in Motley Denim's check out.

Paynova AB is a PSP that provides a service that allows the customer to pay directly from their bank account and customer data is shared with Paynova if payment method Direct payment is chosen in Motley Denim's check out.

DIBS Payment Services AB is a PSP that provides a service that allows the customer to pay with debit and credit cards and customer data is shared with Dibs if payment method Card payment is selected in Motley Denim's check out.

Bambora AB is a card acquirer who provides a service which, after a card payment is made via Dibs, transfers money from the customer's card to Motley Denim's bank account and customer data is shared with Bambora if payment method Card payment is chosen in Motley Denim's check out.

Paytrail Oy and Paytrail Technology Oy is a PSP that provides a service that allows the customer to pay with debit and credit cards and banklinks in Finland. Customer data is shared with Paytrail if payment method Card payment or Finnish banklink is selected in Motley Denim's check out.

Maksekeskus OÜ is a PSP that provides a service that allows the customer to pay with debit and credit cards and banklinks in Estonoia. Customer data is shared with Maksekeskus if payment method Card payment or Estonian banklink is selected in Motley Denim's check out.

Unifaun AB provides a service that allows you to print shipping labels. Shipping labels for all orders are printed through this service and customer data is therefore shared with Unifaun.

PostNord AB is a transportation company that provides the service to deliver orders to the customer. Through Unifaun, customer data is shared with PostNord.

Posti Oy is a transportation company that provides the service to deliver orders to the customer. Through Unifaun, customer data is shared with Posti.

Omniva/Eesti Post OÜ is a transportation company that provides the service to deliver orders to the customer. Through Unifaun, customer data is shared with Posti.

Budbee AB is a transportation company that provides the service to deliver orders to the customer. Through Unifaun, customer data is shared with Budbee.

Bring AB is a transportation company that provides the service to deliver orders to the customer. Through Unifaun, customer data is shared with Bring.

DHL AB is a transportation company that provides the service to deliver orders to the customer. Through Unifaun, customer data is shared with DHL.

DPD Eesti AS is a transportation company that provides the service to deliver orders to the customer. Through Unifaun, customer data is shared with DPD.

Bring Sverige AB DPD Eesti AS is a transportation company that provides the service to deliver orders to the customer. Through Unifaun, customer data is shared with Bring.

The Rocket Science Group, LLC provides Mailchimp e-mail service for e-mail newsletters and advertising. Motley Denim shares customer data with The Rocket Science Group, LLC if e-mail advertising is accepted.

Facebook Ireland Limited provides an advertising service via the social media Facebook and Instagram. Motley Denim shares visitor data and e-mail address with Facebook Ireland Limited for marketing purposes.

Google Ireland Limited provides an advertising platform and a statistics platform. Motley Denim shares visitor data and e-mail address with Google Ireland Limited for statistic and marketing purposes.

Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited provides Bing Ads advertising platform. Motley Denim shares visitor data and e-mail address with Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited for marketing purposes.

In accordance with the Consumer Agency's rules that companies may send addressed advertisements to persons where an existing customer relationship exists, customer data may be shared with a supplier that provides services for addressed direct advertising.

When communicating with Motley Denim, all content in the conversation is shared with Google Ireland Limited as we use Google's Gmail email service.

Protection of personal data

Your personal information is always sent encrypted with SSL and stored securely on our server which is monitored by firewall and anti-virus protection. The server is located in a protected server hall in Sweden. We never store information such as card numbers on our server. 

Time period we save personal data

We save the customer's personal data forever in order to be able to offer good service to the customer through our customer service in the form of information regarding orders the customer has made. We must save the customer's personal and order data for at least 10 years after the end of the year the order was made to meet the requirements for filing in the Accounting Act. 

Can I change my personal data and how it is used at Motley Denim? 

Yes, you can contact Motley Denim Customer Service at any time and have incorrect personal data changed or restrict its use eg. for marketing. 10 years after the end of the year you placed your order, you can also withdraw your consent and have your personal data deleted at Motley Denim. Upon request, Motley Denim is also obliged to inform a customer about what personal information we have registered. In order to be able to change, limit or delete personal data we have collected, we must first ensure that the desire really comes from the person we have collected data about. As practices on this may change over time, this information is not available in this data protection policy but is obtained through contact with Motley Denim's customer service. Contact to personal data manager at Motley Denim can be found on our contact page. The customer has the right to submit a complaint to the supervisory authority about Motley Denim's handling of personal data.

Blocking customers

We reserve the right to block customers from placing orders for reasons such as for example, but not final:

Customers who leave bad reviews on review platforms such as for example, Facebook, Google, Trustpilot. If the customer was so unhappy with the order and our service that he needed to share his unhappiness with others he should not buy from us again, the products and service will be the same.

Customers who never keep any ordered items and always return the whole order or majority of the ordered items. If the customer can´t the sizing right maybe visiting a physical store is better.

Customers who repeatedly order several sizes of the same style only to return what doesn´t fit. Learn from the previous orders what size you are and order only 1 size. 

Customers who doesn´t pick up their orders when delivered to the pick-up point.
